In her thought-provoking TED Talk titled “How forgiveness can create a more just legal system,” law professor Martha Minow sheds light on the transformative power of forgiveness within our legal framework.
Minow highlights tools of forgiveness embedded in the U.S. legal system: pardons, commutations, and bankruptcy laws. These mechanisms allow individuals to move beyond their past mistakes and rebuild their lives. However, she questions whether we utilize these measures frequently enough and with fairness.
