Video: Prasoon Joshi’s Poetry Dedicated To P V Sindhu And Sakshi Malik……

This year India got two medals in Olympics and that too from those who often hear ‘sports are not for girls’. The misogyny that exists everywhere in villages, cities, newspaper headlines, schools, offices, and the internet, has many times cut the wings of the girls who could have been future Olympians. Parents who don’t take pride in their girl child and many times kill them in their wombs are today feeling proud of Sakshi Malik and P V Sindhu.

They have not only made the whole nation proud but have also saved our pride. India has a sex ratio of 943 females per 1,000 males that means many of the girls have been killed in their wombs. If we want to bring revolution and change the patriarchal thinking, this is the time.
