Harry Edward Styles (born 1 February 1994) is an English singer, songwriter and actor. Born in Redditch, Worcestershire, his musical career began in 2010, when he auditioned as a solo contestant on the British music competition series The X Factor. Following his elimination early on, he was brought back to join the boy band One Direction, which eventually became one of the best-selling boy bands of all time. After the band’s indefinite hiatus in 2016, Styles signed with Columbia Records as a solo artist.
Niall James Horan (born 13 September 1993) is an Irish singer and songwriter. He rose to prominence as a member of the band One Direction. In 2010, Horan auditioned as a solo contestant for British singing competition The X Factor. After being eliminated as solo performers, Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson were put together in a band.
Liam James Payne (born 29 August 1993) is an English singer-songwriter. He rose to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction. Payne made his debut as a singer when he auditioned for the British television series X-Factor in 2008. After being eliminated as a solo performer, he auditioned again in 2010 and was put into a group with four other contestants to form One Direction. The group has since released five albums, embarked on four world tours, and won several awards. Payne has worked with other producers under the monikers “Big Payno” and “Payno” creating remixes for songs by his group and Cheryl.
Louis William Tomlinson (24 December 1991) is an English singer, songwriter and television personality. He rose to fame as a member of the boy bandOne Direction after beginning his career as an actor, appearing as an extra in ITV drama film If I Had You and the BBC drama Waterloo Road. In 2010, he auditioned as a solo contestant on the British music competition series The X Factor. He was eliminated as a solo performer before he was put into a group with four other contestants, forming One Direction. The band has released five albums, embarked on four world tours, and won nearly 200 awards.
Zayn Malik ( former member)
Zain Javadd Malik (born 12 January 1993), known mononymously as Zayn, is an English singer and songwriter. Born and raised in Bradford, West Yorkshire, Malik auditioned as a solo contestant for the British music competition The X Factor in 2010. After being eliminated as a solo performer, Malik was brought back into the competition, along with four other contestants, to form the boy band that would later be known as One Direction. Malik left the group in March 2015 and subsequently signed a solo recording contract with RCA Records.
