Inspiring poem : HALLUCINATING EVIL by Arun Pandit

HALLUCINATING EVIL

ONCE UPON A TIME
THERE WAS A GUY
WHO USED TO SAY THAT
“I WILL NOT CRY”
NO MATTER WHAT PASSED BY
HE NEVER USED TO GIVE UP HIS TRIES
THEN A SERIES OF FAILURES GRIPPES HIS LIFE
ONE AFTER ANOTHER
WITH THE SPEED OF LIGHT
EACH BLOW MIGHTIER THAN WHAT HAD GONE BY
EVERY EFFORT SEEMED WASTED
LIFE BECOME BITTERLY TASTED
HE BEGAN TO LOOSE HIS FAITH
HE BEGAN TO EVENTUALLY CRY
SO POWERLESS, SO EXHAUSTED
THAT I CAN BARELY DESCRIBE
AS IF HE WAS BRAIN WASHED
OR PROBABLY
PARALYSED
HE TRIED TO REMEMBER HIS MIGHT
BUT SO INTENSE WAS HIS FRIGHT
WHATEVER HE LEARNED SEEMED TO LEAVE HIS MIND
THE MORE HE TRIED TO COME UP
THE MORE HE GOT INSIDE.
EVERYTHING “NEGATIVE” CAME TO LIFE
AS IF A LIVING NIGHTMARE
THAT HE HAD TO DIE TO GET BY
EVEN HELL SEEMED A BETTER CHOICE
TO SWITCH PLACES BY
AS IF STUCK IN A BLACK HOLE
GRIPPING HIM LIKE AN ANACONDA
DESTINED TO LEAVE HIM
ONLY WHEN THERE IS NO CHANCE OF HIM TO SURVIVE
HE BECAME SO WEAK
THAT HE SEEMED TO LOOSE HIS VOICE
HE TRIED TO SPEAK
BUT THE WORDS DIDN’T COME OUT
HE TRIED TO MOVE
BUT THERE WAS NO SIGN OF MOVEMENT
AS IF HE WAS A STATUE WITH LIFE
EYES WIDE OPEN
TO SEE HIS FEARS COME ALIVE
SUCH WAS THE IRONY OF HIS LIFE
THAT ORDINARY PEOPLE COULDN’T HAVE SURVIVED
BUT DEEP WITHIN HIS MIND
HE STILL HAD SOME HOPE
THAT WAS STILL ALIVE
HE DIDN’T GIVE UP THE FIGHT
HE FORGOT THE THOUGHT OF DYING
HE FORGET THE THOUGHT OF CRYING
AND THIS UNNECESSARY DENYING
“IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING”
WAS THE MOTTO HE WOULD FROM NOW STRIVE
HE ANALYSED HIS WEAKNESS
CONSOLIDATED HIS STRENGTHS
HE MADE UP A FINAL MIND
THAT BEFORE HIS STRONG WILL
EVEN GOD HAS TO GIVE UP HIS TESTING TIME
ALTHOUGH HE STILL HAS A LONG ROAD TO GO BY
BUT ONE THINGIS FOR SURE
SOONER OR LATER
THE SUN SHINES
GOOD PREVAILS
EVIL DIES
