Master Of Your Emotions

If I feel depressed, I will sing

If I feel sad, I will laugh

If I feel incompetent, I will think of past success

If I feel insignificant, I will remember my goals

If I feel fear, I will plunge ahead.

Today, I will be the master of my emotions.

Instead of sinking with my emotions,

I will keep swimming till I get to the shore where the crown awaits me.

Our emotions might be our greatest buddy or enemy, it depends on how we allow them to control our lives and how we use them.

We are all creations of emotions – the good and the bad.

Joy, happiness, love, fear, sadness, hatred and many more, all are natural emotions and we do feel them at one point or the other.

Emotions can be a two edge sword. You can feel elated and happy and you decide to drink to stupor and commit an unintentional crime and you could feel the same joy and instead send a thank you note to those who have helped you one time or the other in life.

In another sense, you could feel the emotion of sadness and fear after losing a business or job and use the same emotion to either feel and stay depressed or use it to feel motivated and determined to succeed in another business or job.

We never sometimes have control about the outcome of many things in life but all we have control over is how we can feel about those outcomes and what we could think of from such outcomes.

A failed marriage, relationship, business and even health is not the end of the world but you can use those happenings as a springboard to get determined to stand up and try again to get things right or you can use the same happenings as an excuse to get depressed and give up trying.

The two choices are good but in one, you try again and you might be on your way to smile again while for the second option, you are just a victim of the happenings- all you could help yourself to do by that is staying on the same point that you are without moving or going back. So which choice will you rather choose?

Will you use your emotions to shoot you up to greatness or will you use the same emotions to get depressed and stay on one point?

To Your Happiness,

What do you think?
